OWNERSHIP
Patrick Edwards graduated from North Carolina State University in 2012 with a degree in Civil Engineering and became a licensed PE in 2017. He began his career in construction at the early age of 3 by tagging along with his father. Throughout high school and college, Patrick continued to work alongside his father learning the various construction trades.
Following a couple years of conducting inspections on cell phone towers, Patrick began doing structural design for residential and low-rise commercial structures. He worked hard to learn the business and gain experience, ultimately taking over Edwards Engineering in 2020. He works hard to bring the same hands-on approach and attention to detail that the business was founded on in 2005.
With Edwards Engineering, every aspect of your project is personally handled by an experienced PE from start to finish. This creates a standard of excellence resulting in a smoother construction process and higher performance structures.
HISTORY
Edwards Engineering, PLLC was founded in 2005 by Dean P. Edwards, following a 30-year career owning and operating a general contracting business.
After graduating from North Carolina State University in 1982 with a degree in Civil Engineering & Construction management, Dean went on to build a very successful career in construction.
He provided a unique service in that on top of handling all contracting, he personally handled many aspects of construction, including framing, roofing, siding, flooring & trim. He believed this highly invested, hands-on approach led to a level of quality that was largely unmatched in the construction industry.
It was with this same approach that he started Edwards Engineering. With 30 years of hands-on experience, Dean’s vast construction knowledge enabled him to provide high quality and practical solutions to engineering problems.
Following Dean’s retirement in 2010, the business went inactive until it was re-launched in 2020 by Dean’s son, Patrick Edwards.
